Application Engineer-Electrical

• Become the expert in the Electrical Engineering aspects of our product offering and client applications
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to facilitate innovative approaches for reducing product, installation, and service costs while maximizing efficiency and quality
• Develop strategies for new market and customer segment opportunities
• Evaluating and sourcing of various products to determine product compatibility with existing systems
• Develop site level drawings to clearly explain the optimized system layout for each client
• Work with R&D team to provide feedback and inputs for future generations of our product
Qualifications:
• BE in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• BE, 7 or more years of relevant industrial experience (hydrogen or renewable energy); MS, 5 or more years of relevant industrial experience; PhD, 3 or more years of relevant industrial experience
• Experience with hydrogen industry is preferred
• Experience with PEM electrolyzers is preferred
• Understanding of hydrogen applications and ability to innovatively develop application strategies
• Experience interfacing with customers, utilities, permitting agencies and vendors
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

The Application Chemical Engineer will work alongside Strategy & Marketing and Product Engineering teams to evaluate the energy production and design optimization of renewable energy resources for hydrogen projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about clean technology industries, collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, and be an expert in green hydrogen applications from a Chemical Engineering perspective.

The Development and Performance Engineer will work alongside Strategy & Marketing and Application Engineering teams to evaluate the energy production and design optimization of renewable energy resources for hydrogen projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about clean technology industries, collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, and be expert in renewable energy project performance analytics and production modelling.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform Solar PV and Wind project production modelling
• Support Application Engineering in the design and commissioning of electrolyzer projects
• Assess the design and collaborate on optimization of renewable energy resources for hydrogen projects
• Conduct site visits and assessments to support project engineering
• Collaborate on review and evaluation of third-party studies for electrolyzer projects including environmental site assessment, wetlands delineations, geotechnical surveys, ALTA/boundary/topo surveys, threatened and endangered species, and cultural resources
• Support O&M in project performance analytics & monitoring
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in renewable energy
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline
• Strong skillsets in PV project design and production modelling
• Familiar with wind project design and production modelling (preferred)
• Expert in PVsyst, and experience with AutoCAD and GIS mapping software (preferred)
• Solid knowledge of general solar technology components
• Understanding of EPC, O&M and Power Purchase Agreements
• Experience with hydrogen industry is a plus
• Familiar with studies such as environmental assessment, wetland delineations and ALTA surveys.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
